If you want to make it even richer in vitamin D, expose the raw mushrooms to sunlight for about 45 minutes and then go ahead with cooking the soup.
Be it any time of the day one just needs to walk into the kitchen, gather some basic ingredients and start cooking cream of mushroom soup and within 5 to 6 minutes walk out with bowl filled with hot soup in their hands which is totally fresh and prepared at home that can be enjoyed as a complete meal or as side dish.

Giving a try to our recipe once, I am certain that you won’t need to go to any mall or super markets to purchase canned soup. Here I have come up with much healthier version of this recipe. I have avoided the us of cream in my recipe to keep it healthy and it equally full of flavors. Also known by name Agaricus bisporus.

My favourite is mushroom soup and tomato soup which made from fresh ingredients, is relished by each and everyone in our family. India has so many spices and herbs that adds to the flavor of the soup. Mushroom cultivation has been adopted in a big way by our farmers, and that's where we get our healthy nutritious mushrooms from.
My recipe of cream of mushroom is healthy and contains no cream, instead
I have used oats and milk to reach desired
consistency. Sautéed with garlic, onions, carrots and oregano (ajwain ke
patte).These are fresh from my garden and optional, you can use coriander
or parsley leaves for this delicious delicacy.
It will become amongst your favourite once you have tried it out. It is quick and easy to prepare , one can serve it to their guest who are eager to taste the soup and I am sure they won’t be contend with one serve. What is Agaricus bisporus used for?
Agaricus bisporus is a type of mushroom known to be very good in curing diabetes type 2, high cholesterol, hardening of the arteries and numerous other diseases. It is an edible mushroom found in Europe and North America. Bisporus is cultivated across 70 countries and is most commonly used mushrooms.
Types Of Mushrooms?
There are numerous types of mushrooms, some of which are wild and poisonous and can't be consumed. While there are some which are very rare and very less is known about them. The most commonly used are white buttons which are cultivated across many countries. They also have different colour and size.
What Type of Environment Mushrooms need to grow?
Mushrooms grow in a humid environment. As compared to other plants which have chlorophyll, these white buttons don’t have it thus they are perfectly cultivated in dark areas. In the last stage where they are about to be ready they need some sunshine. The rarest and most expensive and immensely tasty mushrooms are found in India, and known by name 'Gucci' grow in Kashmir, where to find them one has to trek to higher reaches of the "Paradise On Earth", and they fetch upto Rs 300000/- for a kilogram.
Can mushrooms eaten daily?
Mushrooms are known to be rich, low , fibre and as per medical research including mushrooms daily in your diet keeps the heart healthy as it contains potassium which in turn helps lower the blood pressure.
One packet/200 gms button mushroom washed and sliced
1 onion chopped
1 tsp. finely chopped garlic
1 bay leaf
1 carrot grated(optional)
6-8 oregano leaves (ajwain ke patte) These are fresh from my garden and
optional…. you can use coriander or parsley leaves
4 tbsp oats
1 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup milk
2 tsp olive oil
Step By Step (photo wise)
Step 1
Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a heavy bottomed pan on medium heat and add bay leaf onion and garlic.Stir fry for a minute.
Step 2
Add mushrooms and keep stirring and cooking for around 5 mins till the water from the mushrooms evaporates.
Step 3
Put off the gas.Put the oats and half of the cooked mushrooms and 1/2 of the milk in the mixer and grind to a paste.Oats are very healthy and give a very creamy texture to the soup.Otherwise you can add cornflour like most recipes do.
Step 4
Now put on the gas again and add the rest of the milk.
Step 5
Add mushrooms and oats paste.
Step 6
Add 500ml of water.
Step 7
Keep stirring till it boils.
Step 8
Add carrots(optional).
Step 9
Add oregano leaves,salt and pepper.
Step 10
Keep cooking for 4-5 mins till the soup thickens and looks creamy.
Step 11
Put off the gas and serve hot.

Method Of Preparation
