Healthy Boiled Vegetables Without Oil In 3 minutes

 Healthy Boiled vegetables means combination of variety of vegetables whether chopped, julienned or cubed which are used in variety of ways. The list for boiled vegetables keeps on updating according to what one wants to prepare. One can also use these vegetables in soup and can prepare mixed vegetable soup with these.

    What Are The Benefits Of Boiled Vegetables?

    There are many benefits of boiled vegetables. When one eats these they are eating healthy food which is without oil. Yes!! you heard it right, there is no oil in this recipe. I have been making it without oil for quite some time. You can make sandwiches of these and also have them like this as dinner. They are loaded with lots of nutrients and vitamins. You can add any vegetables you like.

    Here I have used cabbage , beans , frozen peas and carrots. You can use them as a balanced dish with non veg dishes, are very easy to digest and have a lot of fibre which keeps you fuller for long time saving you from frequent snacking.They are heart friendly .

    There aren't many, I am sharing some
    Not all may relish the bland taste as it has no oil, masala or chillies. There also may be decrease in some some vegetables sugar. 

    What Makes A Boiled Vegetables Platter?

     Any of your vegetables, but the most commonly used are cabbage, beans, carrots and the peas, exotic vegetables like yellow and red capcicum, broccoli too makes a tasty ingredients. And yes do try to experiment with other vegetables also. 

    How To Boil Vegetables without any loss of essential nutrients?

    Don't add too much of water and avoid long cooking in order to reap the maximum benefits of the vegetables.

    Ingredients

    Serve (2 pax) 

    Cabbage - 1 small

    Carrots - 2 carrots

    Beans - 100 grams

    Frozen Peas- 1 cup

    Water - For Boiling

    Salt - 1 tsp

    Step By Step(Photo wise)

    Step1

    Chop-the-veggies

    Chop the vegetables and gather the ingredients.

    Step 2

    Add-to-pressure-cooker

    Add water, vegetables and salt to pressure cooker.

    Step 3

    Cook-boiled-vegetables

    Mix everything well and close the lid to cook. Wait for the pressure to build. As soon as the whistle starts to move switch off the flame.

    Step 4

    Let the pressure release on its own. Open the the lid and once again mix everything well. Taste the salt, if less add according to your taste. 

    Step 5

    Boiled-vegetables-ready

    Boiled vegetables are ready to be served.

     Preparation

    1) Take pressure cooker and add 1 katori water and all the ingredients along with salt.

    2) Mix them well.

    3) Pressure cook and wait for the pressure. 

    4) Pressure normally comes in a minute, if it does not, lift the cooker's whistle and check.

    5) When whistle starts moving with pressure switch off the flame.

    6) Wait for the pressure to release.

    7) After 2 minutes or more the pressure should have released. Open the lid of the cooker and mix the vegetables well.

    8) Taste the salt, if required add accordingly.

    9) Transfer it to the serving bowl and serve.

    Notes:

    You can add any vegetables you prefer

    You can add spices to make it tastier 

    I have used water to cook vegetables. You can use oil if you want

    Do not overcook the vegetables.

    Avoid access water.

    After one pressure switch off the flame.
