    Hello everyone! Hope all are doing great. Well today I have brought simple recipe of boiled eggs. They are really simple to prepare yet while at the time of peeling they become little naughty and don't want to give away their shells. Thus at the time of peeling all of us have to face problems and sometime part of egg also comes off giving the egg a weird shape. I don't know about you, but this happens with me a quite frequently no matter how much I try to prevent it.

    How Long should I boil the eggs

    When it comes to boiling the eggs one can easily overcook them especially those who are new to it, this in turn give the eggs dark green rings around them. When I boil my eggs I boil them for 2 minutes and leave them in hot water for sometime so that they are well cooked. If you want soft version then boil them and put them immediately in cold water. This will stop the cooking process.


    The cooking process depends upon the size of eggs, the utensil size and the altitude where one stays. If you are at higher altitude then keep eggs in hot water for 10 minutes and make sure the heat is retained.

    When Can We Have Boiled Eggs

    One can have them as per their choice. They can take it in breakfast, in between meals or in dinner along with
    main dish. I personally relish it in dinner. It can be taken in between
    meals which helps to keep one feel full for longer duration. Bodybuilders have it have it after their workout.

    How Many Types Of Boiled Eggs Are There?

    There are many ways one can enjoy having them. I am sharing with you the ways in which I relish them. These are of two types soft and hard boiled. In soft boil the egg yolk will be semi liquid. Many like the eggs to be soft boiled as they want to enjoy the yummy taste of the egg yolk.
    While there are others who relish hard boiled . Any form of boiled
    eggs you take you will be relish the delicious eggs with
    black pepper sprinkled on top.

    How many recipes can be prepared from Boiled eggs?

    There are various ways to enjoy them such as poached eggs, egg salad, egg biryani, scorched eggs, egg curry, egg lababdar, Kadai Egg. I normally make egg curry and boiled eggs. But you can try and experiment with them never know you might come up with something new and interesting.

    How To Prepare

    Ingredients (Serve-1 Pax)

    2 eggs - medium size
    Water - Enough to cover the eggs
    Black Pepper - As per taste for sprinkling

    Step1

    Take eggs from refrigerator and add them to the pan.

    Add enough water in the pan to cover the eggs as shown in the above picture.

    Bring the eggs to boil as shown in the video.

    Step 4

    Cook on slow gas after the eggs boil for 2 minutes.

    Leave the eggs in hot water for approx 10 minutes to get perfect version of hard boiled eggs.

    Step 6 Draining

    Drain the water and transfer them to a pan filled with cold water to stop the cooking process. Keep them for a minute a cold water.

    Step 7 - Peeling

    Now its time to peel off the shell. Gently tap the shell and start peeling the eggs one by one. 

    Step 8 - Serve

    Your eggs are ready to be consumed in whichever way you like. 

    Preparation

    Take 2 eggs from refrigerator.

    Add them to a pan with water. Ensure eggs are submerged in water.

    Bring it to boil . It normally takes 2 minutes to boil, in some case depending upon the size of eggs, pan and the altitude it might take longer.

    Relax now and let the eggs be in hot water for 6 minutes.

    Drain the hot water and place them under running water. Refill the pan with cold water or tap water to boost the cooling process , you can also add ice to the water. Let them be in water for 2 minutes.

    Drain the water and watch out that eggs don't roll away while draining.

    Now its time to peel off the skin. Tap the shell gently.

    You will see small cracks start peeling them carefully making sure that egg skin doesn't come along.

    Cut into half and sprinkle with black pepper.

    They are ready to be served.


    Some Tips:

    • If you want the eggs to give away their shells easily then purchase them a week earlier of the day you are going to use them.
    • To bring the water to boiling point quickly cover the pan.
    • Boil for 2 minutes and transfer immediately to cold water to get soft version. Peel off after a minute.
    • Old eggs will always float above the water.
    • Some people add salt to peel the shell easily.
